My passion is helping professionals, small businesses and non-profits succeed.
I have over 20 year’s experience as an office administrator and organizer as well as a program co-ordinator, and have worked with a wide variety of professionals, small businesses and non-profits. I’m a silver leaf member of the Professional Organizers in Canada and I’ve also taken a professional development course in project management.
Conservation, nature and social justice issues are important to me. I am the co-founder of the Toronto Chapter of the Feminist Bird Club, a group dedicated to promoting diversity in birding. We also fundraise to protect the rights of women/trans folx and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ+community. In 2020 I organized our first Birdathon and raised over $28,000 in support of the Black Legal Action Centre in Toronto. I am also a long-time supporter of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada.
In 2022 I was accepted as a volunteer with the David Suzuki Butterflyway Ranger Project as well as a Volunteer Garden Coordinator with the City of Toronto. I have combined these 2 roles and am revitalizing a community garden at my local rec centre. This includes sourcing free plants and soil, finding volunteers, planting, mulching and lots of weeding! We now have a native plant and vegetable garden filling 14 raised beds. Follow along with my Urban Agriculture adventures East York Children’s Community Garden.
I am currently enrolled in the Sustainable Urban Agriculture Certificate Program at Guelph University. I have also completed TRCA’s Teaching and Learning with Monarch Butterflies course, Evergreen Canada’s Urban Agriculture Leader training program as well as LEAF Tree Tenders Volunteer Training. A few years ago, I completed an Intro to Beekeeping course at The Toronto Botanical Garden. My happy place is in the garden, taking photos of the native bees and birds!
